Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 bag (approx. 10 oz) marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups puffed rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
  • ½ cup Maia Farms Ultra™ Flour (maiafarms.com)
  • ½ cup Maia Farms Form™ Ground (crispy, oyster mushroom pea-based textured protein)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

  1. Melt butter: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat until fully melted and lightly bubbling.
  2. Add marshmallows: Stir in marshmallows and mix until smooth and fully melted. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Add Maia ingredients: Stir in Maia Ultra™ Flour and Maia Form™ Ground. These add depth of flavor and natural caramel tones while boosting protein and fiber.
  4. Mix cereal: Fold in puffed rice cereal until evenly coated.
  5. Set: Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased or parchment-lined pan. Spread evenly without pressing too hard—leave a few visible marshmallow streaks for texture.
  6. Cool and cut: Let set for at least 1 hour. Slice into bars and enjoy.
